About the revolt.
We are a grassroots movement dedicated to reclaiming America's mailboxes from unwanted paper junk mail. Our objectives are to:
  • Persuade Congress to institute a national Do Not Mail registry that lets consumers opt out of junk mail.
  • Inform the public about junk mail's hidden costs.
  • Bring attention to the environmental impact of junk mail, including deforestation and forest degradation; billions of gallons of wasted water; wasted landfill space; carbon emissions that contribute to global warming; the release of carcinogens into the water, air, soil, and food chain; and the other effects of producing, transporting, and eliminating 100 billion pieces of junk mail a year.
  • Remind people that they have a right to be left alone, a right to peacably enjoy their privacy and property, and a right to determine what does and does not enter their mailbox.
  • Raise awareness about how these rights are being strategically subverted by the junk mail industry and its powerful lobbyists.
  • Combat the junk mail industry's aggressive, anti-choice campaign against consumer-friendly legislation.
  • Publicly expose and rebuke the junk mail industry when it attempts to disseminate inaccuracies, lies, and propaganda.
